FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A Fair Lawn chocolate store owner is playing the part of Willy Wonka prior to her grand openingon Saturday, Nov. 7.
Andrea Collins of Chocolate Works on Promenade Boulevard issued 20,000 golden tickets to people nearby to promote the opening. Everyone who received a ticket will win a prize.
Finding the iPad Mini grand prize winner will be the most exciting part, Collins said.
"We've gotten lots and lots of phone calls," she said of the buzz.
Other prizes include free chocolate or candy for a year, gift cards, or a free birthday party, ladies night out or workshop.
The grand opening will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It will include free dips in the store's chocolate fountain, balloons and face painting.
Collins, of Wyckoff, said she is excited to formally open the doors. The location is one of the top perks, she said.
"The new promenade is beautifully built," she said. "It's nice you can walk from place to place. It's a very neighborhood kind of feel."
