GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Space in a Rock Road complex will be filled for the first time since local government moved to Borough Hall in December 2009, property owner Peter Hajiyerou says.
New businesses set to move in this fall include a children’s gym, a gluten free pancake house, a high-end liquor store, a chocolatier, and youth acting classes that will be held in A Hum Music at 175 Rock Road.
“I try to book tenants that will help other tenants,” said Hajiyerou, who owns the Greek Taverna in the complex. “If I bring one, I’ll find another that will benefit.”
A lumber yard occupied the property when Hajiyerou’s family bought it in 1956. Hajiyerou has been developing the property ever-since — and now, he says, he will at least see his vision realized.
Neil Edsall opened the Nectar Cafe in 2012 and says he shares his customers with the other businesses in the complex.
“We’re not in the same line of business, but we all have a similar feel,” said Edsall, whose wife, Sheryl Edsall, owns Naturally Yoga next door. “We feed off of each other.”
