GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Staff members at Francesca Brick Oven Pizza in Glen Rock are going head to head in a pie competition: and they need customers' help.
For the second year in a row, the Rock Road pizzeria employees are testing their creativity in the kitchen in a cookoff that will run weekly through the end of March.
"Every staff member gets to make their own pizza and then we work on it, figure it out and do a raffle to see who goes against who," shop owner Salvatore Raina told Daily Voice. "Whoever sells the most slices advances to the next round."
During week one, "Anne's Chicken Alfredo" — which sold 118 slices — came out victorious against "Anthony's Chicken Gyro," — a Greek-style pie made with homemade tzatziki and kalamata olives that sold 98 slices.
Stop in to Francesca's located at 234 Rock Road to find out what's cooking in this week's competition.
