Fair Lawn Celebrates National Night Out With Music, Giveaways

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Fair Lawn will have its annual National Night Out Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Schmidt Field in Memorial Park (Berdan Avenue and First Street). 

National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the Fair Lawn Police Department and Fair Lawn Recreation Department.

The rain date is Thursday, Aug. 4.

National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event. It is sponsored by the Fair Lawn Police Department in cooperation with the Fair Lawn Recreation Department.

Fair Lawn residents are invited to come dance and listen to classic rock music from Second Contact, as well as be informed about what’s going on in the community.

The event will include information on crime-prevention techniques, free giveaways, food, snacks, vendors, emergency service information and kids events. Fire trucks and emergency vehicles will be on display, and there will be free water, soda and hot dogs (while supplies last).

The event is from 7-9 p.m.
