The annual ceremony that runs during the holiday season was held at the Veteran's Monument on the front lawn of Borough Hall.

"I'm thankful of the fact that, once again, Fair Lawn has participated in this event thanking all who have protected our freedom," Fair Lawn Mayor John Cosgrove told Daily Voice.

Cosgrove emphasized the significance of this year's wreath-laying service.

"The Wreaths Across America ceremonies held today showed that, even though the terror level has been elevated to its highest level since 9/11," he said, "we as Americans will prevail and will always remember and thank those who served."
