FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The Fair Lawn Recycling Division, in cooperation with the BCUA, will host its annual paper shredding event from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 26 at the Fair Lawn Recycling Center, 20-05 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.
This event is for Fair Law residents only and all businesses or out-of-town residents will be turned away.
Each vehicle is limited to four boxes or bags not weighing more than 10 pounds each. Confidential documents, such as bills, invoices, statements, receipts, tax returns, medical records and legal documents are accepted. They will not accept newspapers, magazines (cover only with printed address will be accepted), X-rays, credit cards, photographs or other non-confidential paper.
The program will end when the truck is filled or at noon sharp. In 2015, more than 1,000 cars showed up to participate and a large number were turned away when the truck was filled by approximately 10:30 a.m.
Cars will not be permitted to start lining up until the traffic patterns have been established, which won't be until at least 7:30 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation. Any questions regarding this event may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 201-794-5341.
