Glen Rock 'Girls On The Run' Team Sets Out To End Hunger

GLEN ROCK, N.J. — A group of girls from Coleman Elementary School in Glen Rock are holding a bake sale on Wednesday to raise money for a homeless shelter in Paterson.

All funds will be donated to Eva's Village in Paterson as part of the Girls on the Run community service project.

"The idea is to teach the girls that there are people struggling nearly three miles away," said Head Coach Erika Goldberg-Schwartz, who launched the Coleman site in 2015.

"That's about the length of the 5k they’ll be running on Saturday."

Last year, the team raised hundreds for the Glen Rock Dog Park.

Community members are invited to the bake sale, which will begin at 3:15 at Coleman in Glen Rock.
