GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- The Glen Rock Public Library will offer two different programs to exercise one's mind and body starting in September.

A chair yoga class will be offered at 7 p.m. on four Wednesdays: Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7.

The classes will be led by Pan He, a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and occupational therapist.

The classes will include meditation, breathing exercises, yoga sequences and yoga poses that will be targeting balance, strength, mind and body connection, coordination, and cognition.

Those interested in participating in the program should check with their physicians first. Adults and teens are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes.

The Tea @ 2 Book Club will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. The group will discuss “The Piano Teacher” by Janice Y. K. Lee.

"The Piano Teacher" is a 2009 novel about a love story set in Hong Kong in the 1940s and 1950s. It is about a married woman who is hired by a rich family and ends up having an affair with the family driver, only to discover his tragic past with a former lover.

The book became a global bestseller. Book lovers are invited to join for great discussion about good books. Copies are available at the Reference Desk. Tea and cookies will be served.
