GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Porch Light Productions is presenting "Our Town" as part of its 2015-2016 Main Stage series, from April 22 to May 1.
"Our Town" is a Thornton Wilder classic, which Edward Albee described as "the greatest American play ever written." It deals with the everyday lives of two ordinary families living in sleepy Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, in the early years of the 20th century. But underlying the events of their lives is a hope for something more.
Porch Light's production of the classic play is the directorial debut of its award-winning senior musical director, Jon Provan (Caldwell) and is assistant-directed by Raul Barcelona.
The show features Maya Schnaider, Jimmy Mason, Jessica Ruby, Mary Claire Bongiovanni, Jim Coakley, Louise Heller, Matt Gysin, Sofia Fusco, Chris Perez, Tim Simpson, Justin Rodrigues, Christian Spinella, Cynthia Smith Barry, Emma Simmons, Kalista Tazlin, Chloe McCandless, Lauren McCandless and Eliana Brenden.
Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults, and $19 for students and those 60 and over. Advanced ticket purchases are recommended.
You can buy tickets online, by calling 201-857-3520 or at the theater, 555 Broad St., in Glen Rock.
