"The idea is simple: Children walk around the park, while reading a book," said Wayne Robbins, who documented the event on his "Inside Fair Lawn" program.

Each page is attached to a post. There are 20 posts in all.

"The concept is to enjoy being in a park and to encourage children to read at the same time," Robbins said.

The event was also made possible by Children's Librarian and Acting Director Kate Nafz, Business Manager Karen Horton, Councilwoman Lisa Swain, Kuiken Brothers, the Fair Lawn Parks and Recreation Department, the borough's Roads Division, the Department of Public Works, Total Renovations solutions and an anonymous donor.
