GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- The Glen Rock Department of Public Works will launch a Pilot Spring Cleanup program April 18 and 25.

Glen Rock will be picking up vegetative waste from the curb once for each side of town as a trial program. April 18 will be the north/west section of town and April 25 will be the south/east section of town.

Spring cleanup yard waste that will be accepted are:

  • Leaves
  • Branches not to exceed 4 inches in diameter
  • Grass
  • Clippings
  • Flowers

Items that will not be accepted are:

  • Dirt
  • Rocks
  • Concrete
  • Logs
  • Plastic bags
  • Plastic plant pots

Loose items should be placed in trash containers or biodegradable bags. Branches should not exceed four feet in length and must be tied together. No item should exceed 40 pounds.
