GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- It's pool season, and the Borough of Glen Rock encourages folks to get or renew their memberships early. If you get your badge by May 16, the fees are somewhat lower.
All residents who want to use the pool will need a badge -- and you can't get them at the pool.
You can renew your membership through the mail, if you have a picture ID badge. New residents, or those who need new badges or pictures, will need to visit the Borough Hall.
To renew by mail, send a check payable to Borough of Glen Rock with the appropriate fee. For the full list of pool membership fees, click here. Badges are renewed electronically, and proof of residency is verified through property-tax records. If you're not the resident on record, you'll also need to provide proof of residency, including a valid New Jersey driver's license with a Glen Rock address and a recent land-line telephone bill or utility bill.
If you're a new resident or ones who needs a new badges, a visit to Borough Hall is in order. New residents will need to provide proof of residency.
Here are the logistics:
- Starting April 1, memberships can be obtained at Borough Hall on weekdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- From May 3-31, the Borough will add Tuesday evenings hours, until 7 p.m.
- Additionally, Saturday morning hours will be available for the first three Saturdays in May, from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Hours will revert to normal business hours on June 1.
This year, changes include reducing of daily guest fees, that a member of any age can bring a guest -- like a child bringing a grandparent -- and the addition of a "Combo Guest Coupon Book," for multiple types of guests.
Early morning lap swimming badges are also available, for an additional cost.
