FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Steve Quilliam of Fair Lawn will be among the first to tell you that pit bulls get a bad rap.

And that's not just because he has tons of cute ones up for adoption.

Quilliam has rescued upwards of 7,000 dogs with his company, Grateful Doggies , and wants you to know these three things about the bully-breed:

  • Pit Bulls are NOT inherently vicious. Actually, there are no bad dogs, only bad people.
  • Unless a Pit Bull has been trained to attack, they generally love humans.
  • Pit Bulls do everything with enthusiasm. They will love you with all their hearts.
