FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Finding dogs to save has never been a problem Steve Quilliam of Fair Lawn.

Finding foster homes to help him with the overflow, though, has been.

"We love these dogs but we need help," said Quilliam, who owns Grateful Doggies Transport and Rescue Retreat.

"We have so many dogs we have saved from bad situations lately, what do we have to do to find foster homes? We've tried it all and are still in need."

Quilliam road trips down south with his organization a couple times a month and loads as many as 50 dogs waiting at shelters and on the side of highways onto the Grateful Doggies busses.

His Middletown, N.Y. facility holds more than 50 dogs — and it's maxed out, as is the Grateful Doggies staff.

"Be that stepping stone so we can help more," Quilliam urged.

"I can not watch any more dogs die for no reason whatsoever."

GRATEFUL DOGGIES HAS DOGS OF ALL AGES, BREEDS AND SIZES AND WILL PROVIDE FOSTERS WITH ANYTHING THEY NEED, FROM COLLAR TO CRATE.
