FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Fair Lawn's Scout Pack 45 hosted its First Annual Veteran’s Breakfast immediately following mass at St. Anne's Church on Sunday.
The scouts honored veterans and their families, including a 92-year-old retired Navy and Army serviceman who played a rendition of "Taps" for the attendees.
The breakfast tables were decorated with handmade cards and posters from the boys and girls in the scouting program.
"It was the timeless stories of shared commitment to honor, serve and protect that were cherished by all attendees," Parishoner Monique Batalia said. "The scouts look forward to future events to support and honor the men and women of our armed services."
