FAIR LAWN, N.J. — It's been almost one year since Fair Lawn's William James Parker II succumbed to suicide at 32 years old.
His memory lives on thanks to his sister, Heather Kost , who is raising money to purchase a Legacy Bench in his name at the Bronx Zoo.
"This will be a beautiful way to honor Will and also support a great foundation that meant a great deal to my brother," Kost wrote. "Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for any donations to come."
Parker, a zoology major, was born in Florida before moving to Ridgewood and then Fair Lawn.
The bench would be near the tiger exhibit, Parker's area of expertise.
