GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- A company formerly located in Glen Rock has perhaps assisted the FBI with the controversial locked cell phone from one of the San Bernardino attackers, The Record has reported.
Cellbrite is an Israeli-based tech company, The Record noted. It's known for its data extraction abilities. Parsippany is its North American headquarters; it was previously in Glen Rock.
The Record noted its prior reporting, that in 2009, the company donated to the Glen Rock Police Department a device it could use in investigations, to extract data from cell phones and PDA. A leiutenant with the department recently said it still had it -- called a "Universal Forensic Extraction Device."
