FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The borough of Fair Lawn will reportedly save nearly a half-million dollars by switching to switch to New Jersey State Health Benefits.
According to northjersey.com , municipal employees in five unions approved the move:
Fair Lawn PBA Local No. 67Fair Lawn Supervisor Officers' Association Local No. 67White and Blue Collar Employees Association of Fair LawnSupervisors Association of Fair LawnDepartment Heads Association of Fair Lawn
"It is a good thing for Fair Lawn and the employees," Mayor John Cosgrove told northjersey.com of the change from IDA/AmeriHealth.
A resolution approved by the Borough Council on Oct. 27 says the NJSHB will provide "reasonably equivalent health benefit and prescription coverage."
