After the vote, Mayor John van Keuren said Borough Administrator Lenora Benjamin would begin the process of signing up interested businesses and residents, as merchants behind the idea have urged in order to get it in place for the holiday selling season, the story said.

Officials indicated the plan would require a formal buy-in from at least 15 local businesses in order to go forward, reported New Jersey.com. While one local merchant recently said he had the names of 22 fellow supporters on paper, others have said many who signed the petition-style note were interested but wanted more information, the story said.
