GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Students in Glen Rock are trying out some tasty new lunch options — and they’re all organic.
Administrators, parents and representatives from Pomptonian Food Service have developed a pilot organic menu plan being featured once a week through march at all schools in the borough.
The menu was designed to be appealing to students of all ages, while promoting a healthy lifestyle that features organic ingredients.
Menu options include spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, baked chicken wings and sweet potato fries.
Students and parents will provide feedback following the program before deciding if the pilot meal plan will be integrated into the regular lunch schedule.
