FAIR LAWN, N.J.– The traffic light synchronization at the intersection of River Road and Morlot Avenue in Fair Lawn has changed, borough officials announced.

Starting Monday, the green signal in the eastbound direction of Morlot Avenue was delayed 20 seconds, allowing motorists traveling westbound to turn left, right, or go through the intersection first.

The northbound and southbound signals on River Road remain unchanged.

The fix increases automotive and pedestrian safety while reducing traffic frustration, officials said.

More changes are on the horizon, they added.
