GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- An information session regarding water conservation measures will be held Wednesday, May 25 at Glen Rock Borough Hall.
The session starts at 6:30 p.m. and will discuss Water Conservation of Landscape Water Irrigation, Ordinance 1741.
Water consumption increases about 300 percent in the summer compared to the rest of the year, due mostly to automatic lawn irrigation systems, according to a Glen Rock Borough Hall information sheet.
The new ordinance asks residents to conserve water, and it is focused exclusively on lawn irrigation by sprinklers.
The regulations depend on the type of irrigation system in place.
