FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Albert E. Puente, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Wednesday, Feb. 24. He was 90.
As a Navy veteran, he served during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn. He was a supervisor with the Foundation for the Handicapped in Wayne. Previously, he was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in the Bronx until 1982.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Puente, Carol Kemmerer, Katherine Schutzer and her husband Wade. He was the brother of Irene Lewis, Delores Rocco and Mary Trentadue and the twin brother of George Puente. He was also grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of 14.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Puente.
The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, March 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.
A funeral Mass is planned for Wednesday, March 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
