FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Donald Wayne Kary, of Fair Lawn, died Tuesday, Aug. 23. He was 67.
Born in Paterson and raised in Lincoln Park, he resided in Fair Lawn for 28 years.
He was a founding member of RSCS, a group formed within the HVAC industry.
Kary enjoyed old movies, the companionship of his dogs, cruises and visiting friends in Las Vegas. Prior to retiring in 2000, he was employed as an HVAC technician with Bergen Community College in Paramus for 12 years. Previously, he was employed with Munsen Engineering & Bonhag in Passaic County.
He was the husband of Patricia (Slupicki) Reardon-Kary; father of Donald W. Kary, Jr. and Raymond Kary and their children Donald A., Christian, Lexy and Lawson; step-father of Dennis Reardon and Kimberly Rypkema and husband Brian; step-grandfather of Keagan Rypkema; and brother of Ronald, Russell, William and Darryl Kary.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday with a service following at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private.
