FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Elena Teresa (Gangale) Belli of Fair Lawn died Friday, June 3, in Westwood. She was 96.
Born to immigrant parents in Boomer, W.Va., she was raised in Brooklyn and Paterson, and raised her family in Fair Lawn.
She is survived by her children, Andrea Johnson of Wantage and Leonard A. Belli of Fair Lawn.
She was an aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony A. Belli; a son, Ronald A. Belli; her sisters, Francis Venticinque of Paterson, Mary Giacalone of Clifton, Rose Rossi of Elmwood Park; and her brothers, John Gangale of Clifton and James Gangale of Pompano Beach, Fla.
The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, June 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
