FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- James Lambert, 71, of Fair Lawn, died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Born in Paterson and raised in Elmwood Park, he resided in Fair Lawn for 48 years.
Lambert was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn and a member of the Fair Lawn All-Sports Association.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Before retiring in 2013, he was a produce manager with A&P in Saddle Brook for 12 years and previously was employed with Grand Union in Carlstadt as a warehouseman for more than 30 years.
He was the husband of Trudy (Sauer) Lambert; father of James M. Lambert and wife Heather, Ken J. Lambert and wife Clara and Michael S. Lambert and wife Jennifer; and grandfather of Mia, Damon, Amanda and Leo.
The family will receive relative and friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at St. Anne Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
