FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Jean M. Scales, 60, of Fair Lawn, died Saturday, Oct. 29.
She was born in Paterson; she was a lifelong resident of Fair Lawn.
She was parishioner of St. Anne R.C .Church in Fair Lawn. An avid cook, she enjoyed needlepoint and will be remembered best for her love of cooking for family and friends. She was employed as an office manager for James Katz, MD in Fair Lawn for many years.
She is survived by her children, Joelle Scales and fiancée Charles O’Connor and Justin Scales and fiancée Jacqueline D’ Ambrosi; sister, Mary Anne Kovelkoski-Luff and husband Edwin; and her spouse, Donald Scales.
A memorial Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne RC Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.
