FAIR LAWN, N.J. --John J. Dill, known as "Jack" by family and friends, died Monday, Dec. 28, at the age of 79.
Dill attended Johns Hopkins University and received a bachelor of arts degree from New York University and a master's in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He had a long sales career in the printing industry, including more than 20 years at Borden Ink and several years at GS Lithographers.
In retirement, he continued his passion for the printing industry with a position at Sir Speedy.
He was an avid sports fan, following the Yankees, Giants and Devils.
He especially loved his summer BBQs. He traveled extensively throughout Europe with his wife, Karen, and was a history enthusiast.
Calling hours and a service will be conducted from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, with the service beginning at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of John J. Dill is requested.
