FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Richard Rosendale, of Fair Lawn, died Monday, Dec. 21. He was 89.
Rosendale was born Aug. 27, 1926, to William and Jessie (nee Krotje) Rosendale in Fair Lawn, graduating from Calvin College after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He also graduated from Marquette University Medical School, and went into private practice before working at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, Bergen Pines County Hospital and CarePlus in Paramus.
Rosendale is survived by his wife Nella, son David and his wife Abigail, daughter Deborah and her husband Michael Kerlen, son Steven and his wife Laura, son Timothy and his wife Lisa, and seven grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Holland Christian Home Chapel, 151 Graham Ave., North Haledon. Following a private graveside service, a memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Holland Christian Home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Crossroad Bible Institute or Alzheimer’s New Jersey.
