FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Robert L., Walsh, of Fair Lawn, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. He was 59.
Walsh was born and raised in Ridgewood. He resided in Fair Lawn the past 15 years.
He earned an associate's degree in accounting from Bergen County Community College in Paramus and also a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University in Newark.
Walsh served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978.
He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church and a member of Knights of Columbus St. Ann’s Council 2853 in Fair Lawn.
Walsh served two years as a United States Embassy guard in London. He was an avid New York Mets fan who enjoyed crossword puzzles, Sudoku, watching "Jeopardy" and bowling.
He worked in the accounting field for over 25 years.
Walsh is survived by his wife Maria C. (Russo) Walsh; children Christine and Joseph Walsh; brother Edward Walsh and wife Sandy, Regina Walsh and husband Phil Brady, Gregory Walsh and Katherine Walsh; and many nieces and nephews.
