Fair Lawn Police Arrest Trio In Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot On Heroin Charges

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Two men and one woman, all from Newton, were arrested on heroin and and other drug-related charges last Tuesday in Fair Lawn, authorities said.

The driver, Matthew Collins, 24, along with passengers George Decker, 27, and Shanelle Babcock, 22 were spotted by Police Officer Geovanny Buitron while sitting in their vehicle at Dunkin Donuts on Maple Avenue, according to a press release from the Fair Lawn Police Department.

Collins was arrested after evidence of drug use was discovered and a search of the vehicle turned up 247 wax folds of suspected heroin plus additional evidence of drug use, police said.

The trio was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin within 500 feet of a public park, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

They were all transported to Bergen County Jail.
