YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Fair Lawn police this afternoon confirmed CLIFFVIEW PILOT ‘s report that borough Mayor Lisa Swain’s daughter, 19-year-old Molly Bienstock, was among those charged with drug possession in a a pre-dawn pot party bust.
Police were summoned by neighbors just before 1:30 in the morning on a call of a loud party in the backyard of a Marie Court home.
Officers Stephen Buskiewicz, Brian Rypkema, Louis Failla, Donald MacIsaac, Detectives David Boone and Timothy O’Shaughnessy heard loud noises coming from in back, then found “a large group of individuals in the rear yard consuming alcohol,” Sgt. Richard Schultz said.
The officers arrested seven adults, including Bienstock, and released 11 others. Additional charges are expcted.
Those charged with drug possession besides Bienstock include:
Arielle A. Lesnoy, Brianna Whitlock, both 19, and Jeremy D. Mash, 20, all from Fair Lawn, and Justin Carloni, 21, from Toms River.
Two of those arrested, 19-year-old Jacob and 26-year-old Dimitry Sheynin, were charged with maintaining a premise for the purpose of underage drinking and narcotic use. Jacob Sheynin was also charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
ORIGINAL REPORT: Fair Lawn police had their hands full overnight this morning with two house parties, one of which resulted in the arrest of Mayor Lisa Swain’s young daughter on minor drug charges, law enforcement sources told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .
All seven adults were later released with Jan. 11 Municipal Court dates.
The bust came two hours after Fair Lawn police crashed an unsupervised party of underage drinkers on Kenneth Avenue near Fairhaven Place.
Officers Luke Hintzen, Stephen Buskiewicz, Louis Failla and Sgt James Krizek saw several partiers both inside and outside, along with “discarded beer cans strewn about the backyard,” Schultz said.
Five adults and nine juveniles were detained before being released. Criminal charges and juvenile complaints are pending.
