The girl sustained minor injuries, while her father's "were more serious but not life-threatening," Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke told Daily Voice.

Both were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, she said.

The driver received a summons for failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk after the crash at the corner of Godwin Avenue and Sherman Place just before 9:30 p.m., the chief said.
