Glen Rock Is 3rd Hudson City Savings Robbery After New Milford, River Edge

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- It was too soon to tell whether the robbery of a Hudson City Savings Bank in Glen Rock on Friday morning was connected to recent holdups at two other Bergen County branches of the same bank in the past two months.

On Oct. 23, a neatly-dressed robber in a painted-on beard walked into the Hudson City Savings at the corner of Henley Avenue and River Road in New Milford and left with about $4,800.

On Oct. 23, a neatly-dressed robber in a painted-on beard walked into the Hudson City Savings at the corner of Henley Avenue and River Road in New Milford and left with about $4,800. Police said he was black, about 5-foot-5 and in his late 20s.

He was wearing a a green cardigan sweater with a tan shirt underneath, khaki pants, and light blue tinted prescription glasses -- and holding shopping bags, the detective said.

On Aug. 12, a robber believed to be just under 6 feet tall held up a Hudson City Savings branch on Main Street in River Edge. Surveillance images show him in a pink shirt, white twill pants and dark sunglasses, carrying a black bag.

No weapon was shown or note passed in either previous holdup.Friday morning, a robber took at least $1,500 in cash by "simulating a handgun," law enforcement sources told Daily Voice. READ MORE....
