GLEN ROCK, N.J. — A threatening phone call that ignited a check of all schools and public facilities in Glen Rock came from a former borough resident confined to a psychiatric facility in Vermont, authorities said.
"The matter is being handled through the facility he is confined to," Police Chief Dean Ackermann said Monday.
Detective Jim Calaski investigated the suspicious Aug. 19 call, which police at the time deemed unfounded.
A Northwest Bergen Central Dispatch received the call of a possible threat against a school building or active public facility on a non-emergency phone line, Ackermann said.
