New Fair Lawn Police Officer Brings Military, Law Enforcement Experience

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- With his father holding the Bible, new Fair Lawn Police Officer Brian Goodson -- a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and a former Paterson and Passaic County Sheriff's officer -- was sworn in Tuesday night.

Goodson 37, a Paterson Catholic High School graduate, served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1998 to 2002.

He'd spent the past decade with Paterson's Emergency Response Team until his move to the Fair Lawn department.
