The crash occurred in the same neighborhood that was closed off early Saturday after a dozen candles that looked like M-80s were placed in jars of baby food and left in the middle of intersections.

"Our truck was parked and empty when a white Suzuki pulled out from the gym across the street and collided with a Honda" around 9:30 a.m., Rick Merchant of Blue Ridge Lumber Company on Banta Place told Daily Voice. "Both ended up crashing into our parked truck."

The Honda driver sustained a bruised knee and chest contusions but refused medical treatment, as did the other driver, witnesses said.

Police were investigating.

Firefighters from the Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue Squad and EMTs responded.

A stretch of Banta Place was temporarily closed while the wreckage was cleared and a fuel spill was cleaned up.
