FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Authorities on Wednesday hadn't officially announced their findings into the death of a Fair Lawn mother from a gunshot wound a day earlier.
"Investigation continuing," Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
The 46-year-old woman's body was found in a 27th Street home off Berkshire Road -- the victim of what initially appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"As of now, it looks like a suicide," a law enforcement source with knowledge of the incident said Tuesday night.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Major Crimes detectives responded, along with Fair Lawn police and the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification, which collected evidence.
Some remained at the house, which remained cordoned off, through a good part of the day Wednesday.
The victim and her husband had grade school-age twins -- a boy and a girl, neighbors said.
