Wayne Police Seek Hit-Run Driver Who Hospitalized Totowa Pedestrian

WAYNE, N.J. -- Wayne police are hoping the public can help find the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian before dawn Saturday, leaving him hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Mirko Oldja, 36, of Totowa, sustained serious head injuries after he was struck just before 4:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Parish Drive, Sfc. Peter Pohludka said.

Wayne First Aid Squad members and paramedics from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center treated Oldja at the scene before he was taken to St. Joe's, Pohludka said.
