Wyckoff PD: One Caught, Two Chased Down After Phony Prescription Drug Buy

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Wyckoff police nabbed a New York City trio after one of them used a bogus prescription to buy codeine, authorities said.

Sgt. Daniel Kellogg and Officer William Plisich who got to the CVS on Franklin Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Friday stopped 30-year-old Cristina Tobey of West Babylon, Long Island, Police Chief David Murphy said Wednesday.

They also issued a bulletin for two alleged accomplices – Maliek Fludd, 24, and Henold J. Edouard, 26, of Queens Village -- who were taken into custody soon after, Murphy said.

Participating in the arrests were Detective Sgt. Michael Ragucci and Officers Terrence Murphy, Kyle Ferreira, John Rafferty and Michael Scalise.

All three were charged with marijuana possession.

Tobey also was charged with illegal narcotic possession and obtaining it with a fraudulent prescription.

They were released pending further court action.
