GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Students at Glen Rock Middle School got a one-hour crash course in youth issues, courtesy of Dr. Michael Fowlin.
Fowlin’s presentation tackled issues of race, discrimination, violence prevention, personal identity, suicide, gender equity, homophobia, and the emotional pain felt by special education children.
Fowlin used his acting skills to move in and out of a variety of characters, young and old, male and female, sharing their stories in a humorous but at times heartbreaking manner.
Fowling holds his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.
