FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- After starting his Fair Lawn coaching career 3-0, Robert Gentile must be thinking this head coaching thing is rather easy.

Taking over the Cutter program after a 3-7 season a year ago, Gentile will face a winless Indian Hills team at Sasso Field in Fair Lawn Saturday with a chance to become the first coach in Fair Lawn’s football history start a career 4-0.

The Cutters' program has been down the past several years, going 8-40 under Amir Saadah the past six seasons.

A new coach, and some new opponents due to the North Jersey Super Football Conference realignment, has Fair Lawn undefeated in the Freedom Blue division of NJSFC.

Indian Hills comes into the game 0-3, having dropped games to Northern Highlands, Ridgefield Park and Bergenfield. Fair Lawn opened its season with a 26-19 win over Passaic in Fair Lawn, and followed up with a 40-13 victory over Memorial High School (West New York).

The offense has been led by the play of quarterback Damian Rongo and the running of Tyler Johnson, Laurence Robe and Bradley Ramirez. The defense has been anchored by Alex D”Angelo and Ryan Rue.
