FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The Fair Lawn Recycling Division will host a litter clean up event Saturday, June 11.
Volunteers are needed to assist in this clean up and will be provided with lunch after the event, T-shirts and gloves. This event is eligible for community service hours for all church, temple, school or court-mandated requirements.
Volunteers must register at least five days before the event by calling 201-794-5341. This will allow us to order enough food and have enough buses to transport the volunteers. Personal vehicles are not permitted to follow the caravan.
Volunteers must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. No heels, sandals, flip-flops or other type of shoe that does not adequately protect the foot are allowed. Long-sleeved shirts are not mandatory but encouraged. Those not dressing appropriately will be turned away and may not participate in the event.
Volunteers should be aware we will be working near traffic and poison ivy and/or sumac may be present at some of the locations.
The event starts at 8:45 a.m. Volunteers are to report to the Recycling Office at 20-05 Saddle River Road. Buses depart promptly at 9 a.m. and those not present at that time may not participate. The event ends at 12:30 p.m. and volunteers will be dropped off at the recycling office at about that time.
To register or for more information, call 201-794-5341 or e-mail email@example.com.
