Vargas, 45, lost her job — and her insurance coverage — after being diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in the summer.
The project was started by Liz Twiggs of the Health Department and is named after Fair Lawn's Detective David Boone who is retiring next year.
Vargas, said she and her family had a wonderful time and couldn't believe there are so many caring people.
