FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Fair Lawn Mayor John Cosgrove is hopeful that the liquidation sale underway at Maple Avenue's Pathmark will pave the way for a bright future at the soon-to-be-vacant property.
Cosgrove told Daily Voice the site's developers — Oster Fairlawn Properties LLC of Englewood Cliffs — informally told him of plans to redevelop the property and the adjacent strip of stores at 22-00 Maple Ave.
“Oster didn’t renew any leases but felt this was probably going to happen,” Cosgrove told Daily Voice. “They’ve seen the success of The Promenade, so I think they’d like to build something like that.”
The developers will come before the borough’s planning or zoning board depending on what they want to present, the mayor said.
