FAIR LAWN, N.J. – The Fair Lawn Police Explorers is now accepting applications for new members.
Law Enforcement Explorers is a program through the Boy Scouts of America that is the preeminent career orientation and experience for young people contemplating a career in the field of criminal justice. The goal is to offer young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences and other activities.
The Fair Lawn Police Explorers meet once a month for training, have the opportunity to ride along with the Fair Lawn Police and can attend the Police Explorer Academy, held each year in the summer at Georgian Court University.
Applicants must be at least 14 years old, have started their freshman year in high school and must be in good academic standing. Applications can be picked up at Fair Lawn Police Headquarters, 8-01 Fair Lawn Ave.
