Harold W. Walder, 97, Of Fair Lawn

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Harold W. Walder, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Monday, March 21. He was 97.

He was born in Paterson and was raised in Wayne. He resided in Fair Lawn for 65 years. He proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock. Prior to retiring, he was a machinist with Curtiss Wright Corporation for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna (Perna) Walder; children, Harold J. Walder, Diane Walder and her husband Finlay Cumming and Lorraine Walder and husband Anthony Verdon; grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan Pennys; and brother, Herman Walder.

He was predeceased by Minni Teshon.

A funeral Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 S. Maple Ave., Glen Rock. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
