FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Helen T. Fair, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Monday, Feb. 1. She was 93.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University.
A faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, she was a member of the Rosary Society and St. Anne Seniors. She also was a member of the Fair Lawn Seniors. Fair enjoyed gardening. Prior to retiring in 1982, she was a first-grade teacher with the City of Garfield Board of Education for 20 years.
She is survived by her children John and Edward Vogel, grandchildren Kristine, Tim, Amy, Sarah, Jane, Samantha, David Jr. and Ryan; two great-grandchildren; niece Celia Trimble; great-niece Laura' and great-nephew Bradley.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward H. Vogel.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Law. A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
