FAIR LAWN-GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Michael J. Lota, 47. of Glen Rock, died Friday, Nov. 20, at home.
Lota was born in Ridgewood and lived in Glen Rock for the past 47 years. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, fisherman and commercial diver.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Meier Lota; daughters Melanie and Amanda; mother, Dr. Helena Lota Farrell; father, Dr. Joseph A. Lota (Theresa); mother- and father-in-law, Carlton and Susan W. Meier; brothers, Dr. Christopher G. Lota, Dr. Joseph A. Lota, Jr., Joseph Farrell and Michael Farrell; sisters, Teresa Ficca and Halina Ehnstrom; step-father, Dr. Joseph T. Farrell; sisters-in-law, Dr. Nathalie Lota, Alison Lohr, Jennifer Lota, Therese Farrell, Erika Friedman; brothers-in-laws, Tom Ficca and Steve Ehnstrom; nieces, Morgan, Rachel, Sophia and Madison Lota, in addition to Jackie, Thomas, Joseph, Kathryn, Lisa, Logan and Lukas; uncle George Mancini, and cousin Geralyn Mancini.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home ( www.vpfh.com ), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, on Monday. The memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 233 S. Highroad Ave., Glen Rock.
