Fair Lawn PD: Midland Park Stolen Car Driver Had Drugs, Brass Knuckles

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- An unlicensed Midland Park driver caught behind the wheel of a stolen car was carrying drugs and brass knuckles, Fair Lawn police said.

Officer Justin DiGuglielmo stopped the silver Honda on Plaza Road at Romaine Street just before 2 a.m. Friday and arrested 35-year-old Melissa DeYoung after discovering the car had been stolen, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

DeYoung was charged with drug and weapons possession, as well as with receiving stolen property and driving with a suspended license.

Fair Lawn police then handed her over to their Midland Park colleagues to deal with stolen vehicle charges, Metzler said.
